Responsibilities:
- Perform network and system administration in a heterogeneous environment comprising of Sun Solaris Servers, Windows-based Servers and network & security equipment, such as routers, firewalls and cryptography equipment
- Configure firewall rules and monitor the intrusion detection systems
- Implement operating system and product-specific security hardening & patches
- Perform performance tuning and capacity planning
- Work in a team to implement the underlying processes supporting IT service management, such as configuration management and incident & problem management
- Provide network and system support to internal and external customers in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma / Degree in IT discipline
- Preferably, attained CCNA and CCSA certification
- At least 2 years hands-on experience in managing network and security equipment such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection systems and routers
- Has working experience on Unix systems (eg. Sun Solaris, Linux) and Microsoft Windows systems
- Able to write scripts in both Unix and Windows-based environment to automate tasks
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess initiative and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Analytical and good trouble-shooting skills
- Customer-oriented
- Able to manage stress
- Familiar with data center operations
